USNDC 1st Division, MN along with the National Commander performing Final Military Honors and Speech for LTC Cher Cha Xiong, on November 2, 2019. Lieutenant Colonel Xiong was among other 35,000+ Hmong soldiers who fought during the CIA war, against the Lao and Vietnamese communist forces in Laos from 1961 to 1975. Lieutenant Colonel Xiong fought bravely along-side those thousands of Hmong soldiers in direct combat against the North Vietnamese troops, rescued U.S. pilots, gathered critical intelligence and identified targets for precise bombing, and disrupted the enemy’s war supplies along the Ho Chi Minh Trail routes. We thanks Lieutenant Colonel Cher Cha Xiong for his service.
