On behalf of the Board of Directors and Members of the United States National Defense Corps (USNDC), I am very deeply saddened by the loss of our former National Commander, Major General Joe Potter (RET, USAF). It’s with a heavy heart to break this sad news to all USNDC members and friends that knew Major General Potter, we lost him on 17 June 2022. The funeral is scheduled for 9 August 2022 at the Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, California. One of the Major General Potter’s wishes that in lieu of flowers, he would appreciate donations to the Vaughn family Church/Cemetery where his mother, his grandparents and other of our ancestors/relatives are buried in Mt View Cemetery.
Major General Potter was a L-19 US Air Polit in Vietnam and fellow Vietnam Warrior. He had served in the United States National Defense Corps as the National Commander and Chairman for over a decade.
I have reached out to his daughter Lisa (Potter) Kalua and I will provide more details as I get them.
My sincerest condolences for the Potter family at this time. The Potter family have my deepest sympathy and unwavering support. Wishing them peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow.
